Mismatched Socks

What do you do with your mismatched socks? I have been having a hard time with this lately, especially since Maya's socks are like finger warmers and slip in between the seal and the door of the washer.(Yeah, our washer eats our socks) Anyways, after my surgery they sent me home with a tub to use in case I needed to throw up. Well, that became my mismatched socks bin and every time laundry comes around all the socks go in there and now I think I'm down to 6 odd sock matches. Maybe one day my washer will spit some of them back out. Until then, I have my little bin.

I am just wondering what you do with your odd socks without a match? Do you have a mismatched sock bin?

I have one. However, I never do seem to find matches. Maybe cause I don't look that often :-)
Cute new picture by the way. Cute girls!

Well, I just put them back in the drawer and hope the match turns up.

Yes, We call it the sock bucket at our house. It has more socks in that I would like to admit. I need to go through it more often and throw them away, I have not found an amazing use for them yet! Lisa

Mismatch socks are pure torture for a perfectionist like myself. I can't throw them away, because, I just know the match will one day appear! I have thrown some away only to find the match a few weeks later...or maybe I didn't ever throw it away and just thought I did...or maybe it jumped back out of the trash can...or maybe this is the missing match and now I can't throw it away just in case the trash hasn't been taken out yet and I can still find the first sock...or maybe....well you get what I mean!

Our many single socks get put at the bottom of the laundry basket underneath an old folded towel, ready to wait for the next batch of fold-up clothes. There's got to be at least 20 socks in there at a given time. Like Christina, it's hard for me to take the plunge and throw one away--its match has got to be somewhere-maybe under the bed or tucked in the couch.

I throw them back in the drawer and hope the match turns up next week. But we find socks everywhere, even in the bushes and other peoples houses.
